Why $35?

Several people have asked us why we picked $35 for our ticket price. Water For People's program expenses over the last few years indicates that (on average) it takes between $30 and $40 to provide water/sanitation to a person. And since Water For People's programs are designed to be sustaintable, that's how much it takes to provide water/sanitation for one person FOR LIFE!

Admittedly, no project can be built for just $35. However, it serves as a stark reminder that this small amount of money makes a world of difference in people's lives. So we picked $35 as our ticket price for two reasons - as a token of our solidarity and as a means of providing Wine For Us participants with a tangible sense of what they are contributing!
